Gateway to Tibet offers a fine collection of genuine Tibetan antique rugs. The pieces range in age from late 18th century to early 20th century, with the majority being 19th century. Each carpet has been professionally cleaned and all are in excellent condition. The collection has fine examples of the various types of rugs traditionally made in Tibet.

This website is a gateway to experiencing the energies of Tibetan Arts, both old and new, to enhance meditation and daily life. We offer the finest quality new handmade rugs, created in the traditional manner, with pure Tibetan wool and natural dyes. Our restoration service includes hand washing and repair of all types of antique rugs, textile mounting, design and expert thangka restoration. Gateway to Tibet is proud of its hand selected merchandise and strives to support artists and artisans both local and abroad, and to cultivate the ground for peace.
